Reason for choice:

No one else can quite match the smirky arrogance of an F-17... It was the perfect expression for my young Indian prince.

Worst Points:

Like Sannanjae, my other sunlight FCS guy, his eyebrows aren't dark enough... His resin color sometimes makes him difficult to photograph well and that nose? He's seriously going to put someone's eye out with that thing someday. XD

Jahan Dakkar is a young version of a fictional character that I've been fond of for many, many years... Someone I guess you could call the very first "literary crush" I ever had... Although most of the people that I've mentioned owning this doll to haven't recognized him by name. At least, not by *this* name.

If I were to introduce the idealistic Prince of Bundelkhand by the name that he chose for himself much later in life, I suspect there wouldn't be any question of recognition. In spite of his apparent claim of being "No one".

But why this young pup rather than the older, more iconic version of Nemo that I was so taken with as a kid?

I found myself really wanting to have Dakkar in a form that reflected a time in his life when he was more content with the world, and more at peace with himself, than that troubled fellow who took to ramming British warships with a submarine. That meant either finding a very young avatar for the Captain or a very old one.

You can guess which was easier to do in doll form and which would have been well-nigh-impossible.
