Reason for choice:

I love Alice in Labyrinth sculpts, but it was her beautiful child-like body with traditional ball joints that made me really want this doll. Also, I wanted a try owning a smaller size for my first bjd.

Best Points:

I love her prominent chin and chubby cheeks like a classic babydoll! Also I like how she has tiny eyelids that really add depth to such a small sculpt.

Worst Points:

The Daryl sculpt is very young, almost like a toddler, so I think a significantly smaller/shorter body would suit her better

Daryl was my first bjd!

For years I had an incredibly difficult time bonding with her because I couldn't get a faceup right that I felt truly "fit" the look I imagined, and it didn't help that she is my only tiny sculpt (6.9" head!) so it was extra hard trying to do details on her face. She has spent a lot of time blank or stored away as I tried figuring out what to do with her, which was very hard and emotionally draining for me. However, all that has all changed now that the amazing maiya has given her the most beautiful faceup I could have ever imagined! I am so grateful that my dolly is now looking just how I always thought she should look Her faceup really made 100% difference. I also feel like the brunette wig suits her white resin better than the blonde one I used to use.
