Dash is the son of a husband and wife that run a very successful textile company in New Zealand. Dash was next to take over management of the family business but was in a bad state of mind due to issued between his parents. He suspected an affair but couldn't figure out who was cheating. One day his mother packed up and left without a word to Dash or his father. Dash didn't take too well to the abandonment and decider to go find and confront her. He tracks her down to California where he finds out her reasoning for leaving. His mother indeed had an affair, but she also had a daughter, named Kai, with her lover. When Dash finds out she was given up for adoption, he set out to find his half sister. When he finds her, he claims her as her legal guardian. Kai however, wouldn't go wit him unless he also adopted her friend Eden who shared the foster home with her. Dash honored her request and took them both home.
