Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     That face! I adore Mads Mikkelsen and he looks so like him. Perfect for a mad scientist right?

    His left arm has always been a bit odd, always curling in on itself. Sueding and resting didn't help, so I worked it into his story.
    Iwan's head was bought during a Christmas event, and his body through a discontinuation event not long after. I would have bought him all in one go if I had the money at the time...ah well. He at least got a body faster than some of my others!

    Iwan (pronounced ee-vahn) was my paternal grandfathers' name. Kalbsfleisch is a German/Prussian name originally meaning "calves flesh", i.e. a butcher.

    Story universe: A Clash of Worlds

    Doktor Kalbsfleisch was an overly curious scientist obsessed with the acquisition of knowledge in the medical field. His insatiable curiosity lay mostly in the field of what happens to a person's soul/personality/the thing that makes them alive once they die and as a result it lead him down a path littered with forbidden and arcane knowledge, and ever more twisted and depraved experiments. Grave robbing was no longer good enough, he needed his subjects to be as fresh as possible. Which was rather easy initially for the handsome gentleman he appeared to be.

    Soon enough, his clear insanity outed him and he was forced to flee his city. He was taken in by a mysterious demon known only as Hex, who brought him to the Otherworld and gave him a grand mansion out in a secluded place, not too dissimilar from his hometown in Prussia.It was there that the mad doctor was able to truly play without fear of consequence - Hex was more than happy to provide anything he needed. Anything at all. But naturally there was a catch, he had to be the caretaker for a very, very old, and very, very insane demon called Orphicus.

    Through his experiments, Iwan was able to build an undying body for Orphicus to live in, allowing him to always have a test subject on hand in case of emergencies. He also built himself a manservant, Silas, in an experiment he regarded as a failure. Though these two subjects, he was able to learn to halt his own aging, and build bigger and better bodies. His body is littered with self-inflicted surgical scars as well as wounds caused by Orphicus himself; most notably the large scar on his face, smaller scars on his neck, and the horrific burns that cover most of his left arm.

    Iwan still hasn't quite reached his ultimate goal of manufacturing a soul...at least...not to his knowledge.
