He has a very soft and reflective look, and this gave me tons of inspiration for personality!

Best Points:

The joints move really smoothly, the material is so soft, and he has a nice weight to him! I was so surprised by how heavy he feels, and it's really pleasant.

EDIT update 8/4/22: Now that I've had time with him, I really love the Loong Soul body. The joints especially are so easy to move and there aren't any harsh edges. Everything is very soft and rounded, so even when a limb is bent, it doesn't stick out awkwardly!

Worst Points:

So far, the only bad thing has been that the magnet keeping his head cap on came off, but that was such an easy fix so it's negligible. Loong Soul bodies are great!

EDIT update 8/4/22: I sent my little Dove away to Ms. Stein in Europe to get him painted, and he came back exactly what I pictured! The faceup artist can be found on instagram at mssteinart. I highly recommend her services because she is so talented and very professional. I also believe that her prices are extremely fair, given her incredible talent. I have also been busy making clothes for him as well, so his style has definitely evolved since my initial ideas about him. I've found I like a soft boi aesthetic for him haha.

Name story:

Since the sculpting is so gentle and sweet-looking, I wanted a name that evokes that feeling of a sweet, late-spring day with sunshine, a gentle breeze, and wildflowers. I thought 'Dove' felt like it would suit someone whose personality is soft-spoken and relaxed.

Fantasy Background
Dove is the crown prince in a kingdom where his father, the king, has enslaved all magical people. They are delegated to a lower class, and most, if not all, are slaves or servants. Use of magic is tightly controlled through metal rings that can come in the form of a bracelet, a ring, or a choker necklace, and this material is enchanted by castle servants to subdue magical power. Typically, a magical person is given this jewelry by their owner, which means the owner can also decide how easy or difficult it is to remove the jewelry. A ring can simply be slid off of a finger, while a bracelet or a choker necklace may require the use of a key to unlock and remove.

Viewing magical people as a sub-class is considered the norm, however, when Prince Dove was younger, he met a very kind magical person who struck him as different. Usually, magical people treated him with subservient respect and a quiet, detached tone, but this other boy was all smiles and threw all customs aside in favor of treating Dove with kindness and humanity. Naturally, their small friendship was cut off almost as soon as it started when the king found out. Prince Dove and the magical boy were ripped apart, with Prince Dove becoming sequestered in his chambers and the magical boy sold off to a different owner away from the palace. However, despite the king's best efforts, a seed of rebellion and justice began to grow in Prince Dove's heart. Now, all he must do is wait for his ascension to the throne to make some much needed changes.

Modern Day Background
Dove is pretty much your average soft boi with an affinity for all things cute and fluffy. He likes hanging out with his boyfriend, spending time with his older sister, and going to the movies. He enjoys the Jurassic Park movies the most, even if some parts are pretty spooky. Like many in their 20's, he has no idea what to do with his life and he hates his job at a coffee shop, which he has to juggle with his school studies. Dove has entertained the idea of opening a flower shop once he graduates from college, an idea he got from the beautiful garden his great grandparents kept.
