Name story:

Doyle is one of my family names (maternal grandmother's maiden name). I used it on a whim for a character with green hair in a video game and then when his character started coming into existence, he wanted green hair also and latched on to the name. His House name, Tessier, comes from the fact that his family is in the fabric business.

Doyle is still young, and a bit hedonistic, especially at court. He has a tense relationship with his family. His father doesn't approve of the fact that he only likes men, and thinks him too frivolous and irresponsible to take over any of the family business. He is sent to court to find a wife to raise their family's status.

Doyle isn't interested in any of that, and spends his time at court going to parties, trading in gossip with his best friend Myra, and working on his own clothing designs. He's a truly talented designed and tailor, but his father refused him going down that path as well, claiming that being a 'mere tailor' was beneath them now that they had noble title.

His connection to Myra eventually gets him pulled into the intrigue around the throne after Caelestin's return, and he creates several fabulous gowns for Hanako after Odellete tries to pretend she doesn't exist. He has a fling with Jaeron, and falls in love, though isn't mature enough to admit it to himself until years later.
