Eris has a "gift". At least that is what her father always called it. At a young age Eris discovered that she sometimes bestowed bad luck on the people around her. Kind and naive she turned to her family for advice, only to have her greedy father hire her out to the highest bidder. For most of her childhood, teen years, and now into her young adult life, her "gift", or curse as she sees it, has been used to bring misfortune to people who have never done her any harm. This has weighed heavily on Eris, but she doesn't know how to escape her father's tight hold on her, and her sister who possesses the opposite gift, that of good luck.
