Provenance:

Head and body were bought second hand from different sellers. Both are legit with paperwork.

Reason for choice:

I just loved her profile, her nose is so cute! I also saw this sculpt with a lot of "innocent" and soft looks and I was challenged to bring out my sassy character in this sculpt. I think it worked out well.

Best Points:

The nose! I also like the head size and head plate system. Kaorin is a very versatile sculpt too, many styles suit her.

Worst Points:

Her feet are not the prettiest.

Name story:

I've always liked the idea of unisex names or using a more masculine name for a female character. I picked Freddie, because it was easier to derive that nickname from a more feminine name - I almost went with Fredrica, but then decided that Winifred sounds better.
Verde is just an Italian word for "green" that I always liked, and I decided to use it for her since it fits her character quite well.

Freddie's story:
Freddie was born on 30th of May to Kevin and Maria Verde. Freddie is quarter Italian - her grandmother (Maria's mother) still lives in Italy. Due to a terrible accident, Maria passed away when Freddie was still young, leaving Kevin alone to raise not only Freddie, but also Kevin's nephew Will, who was orphaned in the same incident.

Perhaps due to not having a mother figure or growing up with a wild Will as a "brother", Freddie grew up tough. Even as a small child, she would rather fight than cry and solve her problems with her fists than with words. A likely factor in this was that she was picked on at school - living in a small town of Waverly, she stood out for several reasons. One was that she dressed in masculine clothing and kept her hair short (and dyed in neon colours, if possible). The second thing was that she was never silent about being lesbian: she came tumbling out of the closet as soon as she realized she was in one. And the third, and the biggest of them all, was that she is a witch.

According to a legend that is passed down on the Verde household, an ancestor of the family did a great deed and was rewarded with magical powers. The story tells that a Verde woman once crossed paths with an actual god; a mortally wounded one, dying from poisoning. But the brilliant woman brew together a potion to counter the effect of the poison from the herbs she had grown in her garden. The god was saved, and as a show of gratitude, the Verde family was blessed with magical abilities that would ensure that their garden would never wither and die.

Every Verde woman has had a deep connection to nature and plants as a result of this blessing - an ability to feel what the plants need and to connect with them on a deeper level, to draw power from them and to give power to them in turn. Freddie has always had this power too. As an adult, she utilizes it in every way she can: her garden is her escape, her livelihood, her haven. She is always the happiest when she has her hands deep in the soil, helping her plant friends grow.

Personality: Tough, outspoken, candid, sarcastic, bossy, protective, strong. Always ready to fight for the things she believes in. Doesn't back down easily.
