I was looking for a very skinny, tall 1/4 boy - this one looked perfect

I had the dream of a Fungus-Boy since years now. The plans and rough sketches existed since ages (back in that time I considered a Doll Chateau boy for this project) but I always feared that I couldn't do all those modding. I once started a mushroom hat for one of my Doll Chateau boys which looked quite cute, but a hat was not enough. Fungus Boy needed more mushrooms and texture on a body too, and I wouldn't want to transform my existing DC boy into this. Ordering a new DC boy for this was still on top of my plans, but somehow I never had money left (I think the actual reason was, that I just feared to work on him, ruining a brand new DC doll)
Some years later I got the chance to adopt the new Dream Valley Vine from my friend. And there he was. Still a plan but kept in box for more than another year - still with the fear of starting to sculpt mushrooms on this wonderful body. The hat was no real issue, this was planned to put on and take off whenever I want. But shrooms & texture on the body? Sculpting just a few to stick them on with magnets or eye-putty to stay removable and keep the body save? Nice option, but, no. I decided to use Creative Paperclay. It's permanent like Apoxie, but if I didn't like it in the end, I can still remove it like a faceup and much hard work (but it won't ruin the resin like Apoxie). And it's wonderful light weighted!
So, this summer I finally started Project Fungus And I'm so happy how he turned out!
