Hadrian is a reaper-in-training, a very young death spirit who will one day ferry souls to the afterlife. He likes to think he's very intimidating, what with all the death aesthetic and the giant scythe, but he's also quite shy. A perfectionist, he gets very frustrated when he can't do something just right, and will keep trying until he does. This is how he became friends with the vampire Malachi, because vampires are notoriously difficult to take to the afterlife.
