Uyoo's face remains one of the most charming and expressive that Soom has ever sculpted, even after a decade. Her faceup, outfit and styling are so gorgeous as well; maybe my favorite fullset by any company.

Worst Points:

Her sealant has yellowed :( her resin hasn't at all, though.

Soom Uyoo Elf (Sparkling Forever LE). Mature 1/6 doll from among Soom's earliest Monthly Doll releases (she was July 2007, I believe.) The high fantasy styling and personality-filled face sculpts of Soom's 2006-2008 dolls remain some of my favorite company presentations in the hobby.

Hayling is pretty much named after the song "Hayling" by FC Kahuna; it provokes a certain intriguing "mystery/magic/the unknown" feeling when I hear it.

Hayling is the heir of an ancient and powerful elven kingdom; she was raised with the expectation of continuing an age-old war between her people and another elf realm which verged on theirs, and her commanding air and natural talent for aethereal magic seemed to suit her to this role. But, lo and behold -- against anyone's expectations Hayling and the princess of the other realm, Amaranth, met unexpectedly one day and found they got along quite well before realizing who the other was. They feel profound respect for one another, perhaps something more...these two young leaders are now working to modernize their kingdoms and heal the divide between the elf nations.
