I won an SD Mo 2010 event head at Nakakon's BJD project runway contest in 2014 then bought him a secondhand body on DOA

Reason for choice:

I had the choice between two heads when I won and I liked his better than the other one. It was convenient because I was saving up for a Dollzone Hong at the time.

Best Points:

His face is perfect for visual kei and I love how his dred wig turned out. He's strung a bit tightly so he does model poses spontaneously. Stands and poses really well!

Worst Points:

His hands don't like to sit properly on his wrist parts, and the tip of his nose is pointy so his faceup likes to chip there.

He's loosely based on hide from X-Japan so he has read hair, gothic makeup, and wears visual kei or gothic clothes. All of his clothes so far are red, black, and white but I might have him branch out a bit as time goes on. He has a near-replica of one of Hide's black and red vinyl jackets.

Name story:

I won the head in a contest and was trying to figure out what to do with him on the ride back. We were listening to X Japan and at some point the idea of doing a hide-esque doll came to mind so I named him Hideki. The name Mr Fabulous came in when I got his body and he would auto-pose like a male model.

Male, but he's not afraid to dress in a very feminine way sometimes.

He is like Hide but he isn't Hide. He is similar to Hide in that he's a rock star and in styling but that's as far as the resemblance to the actual person goes. He's the only doll I have that seems like he's trying to flirt with everyone and everything. It's something in his facial expression and the fact that he always poses on his own. He's one of my favorites to carry around and conventions and almost has his own fan club with people recognizing him from online. He's also probably the one I end up holding in my lap the most because he's the perfect size for it and it doesn't cause his joints to go wonky like my other SDs.
