Reason for choice:

Around the time I was looking to order my first doll the Luts summer event was announced for this version of Basil. It seemed like a good omen so I ordered her.

Best Points:

Her cute pout with her teeth showing, it's so much like a face I make when I am thinking. Also her posability!

I don't actually dislike anything about her.

Name story:

She is a water spirit so I wanted to have something that was related but not too on the nose. Hyalite is a form of opal with a glassy and clear appearance which may exhibit an internal play of colors if natural inclusions are present. It is also WATER opal.

She can breathe underwater, and manipulate mosture in the air to cause rain or humidity. By her own estimates she's been alive for close to 900 years, but generally only tracks time by fashion styles. After the first 100 or so time doesn't mean much when you don't physically change.

Hylee has been coasting on on money she makes investing in new fashion companies that she chooses by consulting her tarot deck. It's worked out well enough that she's able to pick up and move every 10 years (or days, it doesn't really matter) with no worries. She spent several generations moving around Europe, but crosses the oceans more regularly now. She is well known for falling in love with instagrammers, but is not known for staying with them. The asthetics are all she's really there for... and the glitzy pool selfies. Making a routeine sweep across the Americas she ended up in Maine where she met Libra after some party. They drank hard, and danced harder, and when Libra drunkenly started to cry about finally making a friend that she didn't absolutly hate Hylee promised to keep the friendship strong even after they went back to their lives. Conjuring a rain storm, she sobered both of them up enough to clear their heads, and the next morning marked the moment they would become best friends. Shortly after she met a lovely french women leaving to back pack in Germany and followed her, making sure to keep in touch with Libra over the course of a year.

Now she's in the states and ready to see why her best friend is working for a forbidden tomes dealer. She really would prefer that Libra not get mixed up in Immortal business...
