Provenance:

5 heads bought from Ringdoll by myself. Dollmore body is second-hand (bought here), two K heads second-hand (also here)

Reason for choice:

I was drawing a character that looked very similar to K when his full set was released. I fell in love with the sculpt but not the clothing, and Ringdoll bodies just looked too muscular for that head IMO. Dollmore isn't too muscular for anything (XD) and since I know the company and have a lot of bodies from them I knew what to expect.

Best Points:

Head fits the body, physically and proportionately (which is what I care about). I love the arms on the Dollmore body, and it looks amazing in clothes. K could be my new favorite sculpt, he's gorgeous.

Worst Points:

Head:The eye wells are a little thin. it's not a problem, and probably won't be, but there you go.

UPDATE: He's not on the model body anymore - I could no longer stand the knees. Now he's on the Glamor Model body which is similar but with more muscle, taller and has better knee joints. He's allover bigger now and clothing has become more difficult as he's not "hound" size anymore.



Hybrid: Due to the way I put hair on him, the headcap doesn't stay on as well as it probably would in a normal wig, and because the head and body weren't made for each other, head movement is tough. So the head cap sometimes pops off when I'm positioning his head.

EDIT: So over the weekend I had him in pieces, and was holding the head on the torso piece with my hands. Head movement seemed like it should be better than it was, so when I put him back together I really looked and found this - the Dollmore S-hook is really too small for the Ringdoll head. It holds the head on well enough, but sits so low inside that the s-hook is actually what is hindering head movement, not the fit. I stuck an old Delf neck donut in there and suddenly his head movement is amazing! and easy! He's like a different doll! Hybrids. Lol

Body: Worst part of the body is the knees. They lock open and closed so his leg posing is limited and I have yet to see if it can be improved by wiring (obviously it doesn't bother me that much - I'd much rather he have locking knees than not be able to stand.)

Wig:

Technically it's not a wig, but fur.

Favourite colours:

green, black, purple. He has to fit in with my other dolls - oops he failed. All the color are his favorites.

Suits or t-shirts with the stupidest sayings possible on them.

Crow mask and black chucks.

He has a limited wardrobe - one suit and a couple t-shirts, and one pair of shoes (black chucks) but he also shares clothes with the Joker, and ends up wearing some weird stuff. His clothes typically looked "lived-in". --> Updating this because it's not longer true....his wardrobe has sort of exploded as I end up buying him things all the time now. Mostly crazy t-shirts. I shop at Target too much. John has all the clothes now, nothing matches and it's all an explosion of color, unicorns, dinosaurs and llamas.

I was calling him John Doe as he had no character and I didn't know who he was. I kept John. He doesn't have a last name.

He's an ex-assasin who is currently unemployed, broke and living in an abandoned building. Most of his possessions were destroyed when his last apartment blew up and most his memories were removed magically, so he pretty much owns nothing but a phone and laptop and can't remember details about his life, like where all his money is.

John can't see out of both eyes at the same time and wears an eyepatch over the right one, which is silver after an incident involving being shot in the face.

He's a newly made warlock and spends all his time learning how to magic.

He is not affiliated with any of the other dolls in my collection but hangs out with the Joker simply because they're the same size. I have no idea. -- also I have a couple other dolls in his story now. But they're not totally finished. He's sort of my main doll now.
