Reason for choice:

I had always wanted a Shiratori, ever since I saw him in the catalogue that a friend had. Eventually, my boyfriend bought me one. Shiratori was my very first Volks doll.

Best Points:

I love their smile. There aren't very many dolls who have cute smiles.

Worst Points:

After obtaining an SD13 girl body for her recently, I don't really feel that there are any worst points anymore.

Originally, I wanted Shiratori to be one of my oldest characters, Sindel Alexandrias, but no matter how many wigs or eyes I buy that are for that character, Shiratori never behaves for me, so I gave up. I can't decide if it's me or it's her, but I've long ago learned that you don't force a doll to be who you want them to be. I often envy doll owners who can just go "and this is my character x, I never have any trouble with them". Bro, my characters have never done anything that I want them to do. I lost control of these losers on page 2, now they eat all my food, sleep on my sofa and act like they own the joint, let's not even talk about what they're doing to the story.

Name story:

To be honest, I named her "Juliet" because the new wig that I bought for her (the one pictured) reminded me so much of a style I'd expect to see in a Romeo and Juliet production. It's probably my least favorite Shakespearian play, but I was obsessed with it in my teens. Go figure.

Juliet is the only daughter of a noble family. She was born blind, but can see the auras of people, animals, and some plant life depending on how old it is, which allows her to "see" and get around. Her sight does not extend to inanimate objects, like buildings and clothing. She often has a handmaiden help her get dressed so that she doesn't look like her closet threw up on her.

Her father is hesitant to marry her, because she is a little strange and unique.

Her beauty garners the attention of one of the princes of the realm, and her uniqueness is what makes him want to get to know her, especially after he realized that while blind, she could still "see" him.

She's a generally shy person who keeps to herself. She does not have many humans that are friends.
