Kai is the younger half sister of my first doll Dashielle (Dash). The story starts in New Zealand where their mother and father run a textile business. Their mother had an affair with a man on her business trip to Japan. Now pregnant, she fled to California, leaving Dash and his father behind in New Zealand, fearing her husband's reaction to the affair and resulting child. When Kai was born, she was left to the foster care system and her mother disappeared. Dash comes to California looking for his mother in attempt to figure out why she abandoned him. In the process he find's out about his younger sister. Since he is 19 he is legally able to claim his sister as her guardian. So he does so along with her best friend Eden who had shared a foster home with her for the past 2 years.
