Reason for choice:

I've played Touken Ranbu for years and Kiyomitsu is my most cherished character. When I saw that DOLK was making a doll of him, I instantly knew I had to have him.

Best Points:

His sharp, catlike eyes and his pretty nail polish.

Worst Points:

His left knee is pretty finicky and always needs a bit of extra help to pop into the socket right.

He only came with heel feet, and it's super hard to find heels that will fit him. So he's stuck with his boots until I can nab some flat feet for him.

The wig he came with is black, though his official hair color is dark brown. I'll maybe fix that eventually...

He wears anything that he deems fashionable. His taste has no gender boundaries, and he has no problem sporting jewelry and nail polish, and will wear anything from nice suits to frilly dresses. If it's red and black and he thinks it's cute, he'll wear it.

"I am Kashuu Kiyomitsu. The child beneath the river, the child of the river banks, I suppose. I'm be hard to handle but my ability is top notch. I am always looking for people who can use me well, shower me with affection, and dress me beautifully."

Kiyomitsu is a character from Touken Ranbu. In this game, every character is the personification of a famous Japanese sword.

The blade he is based on was forged during Japan's Edo Period around 1684. His swordsmith was a master of his craft, but lived in poverty. Kiyomitsu's early years were spent living in the slums alongside the people from Japan's lowest social class.
His most famous owner was Shinsengumi captain Okita Souji during Japan's Bakumatsu Era. Kiyomitsu stayed with Okita for several years, but the blade broke in battle during the Ikedaya Incident (1864) and was deemed irreparable and was abandoned by Okita.
During the events of the game, Kiyomitsu is one of several swords summoned and given human forms in order to fight against an organization who travels through time to alter history.

The events of his past have done a lot to shape how he is as a person. He presents himself as a refined beauty, putting a lot of effort into his appearance. This is partly due to him not wanting to be reminded of the poverty he was born in, but also out of fear that he may be abandoned again if he isn't always at his best. He puts on a show about wanting to be adored and pampered, but it's mostly a smokescreen he puts up to hide his true feelings. Ultimately, he wants someone who will genuinely love and cherish him.

When his insecurities aren't a factor he's playful and carefree, but also resourceful and a charismatic leader. He cares deeply for his comrades and can find a middle ground and connect with anyone, regardless of how different they are.
