She has sustained burn damage and lost a digit on her hand from an event she can't remember from her childhood, but when she asks her older sister about it, the Dinah becomes serious and tells her not to bother with the past. Being naturally curious, Kate will read and research anything that interests her....on the rare occasion something catches her eye.
