Backstory: Kes and Rand are child/chibi versions of my favorite City of Heroes MMO character and her Adept partner. While the in-game characters didn't know each other as children, having come from completely different worlds (Kestrel is a native of the Shadow Shard, while Cardinal grew up on Mercy Island) the miniature resin versions are life-long playmates... and every bit as inseparable as the "grown up" rogue Stalker and Mu mystic.
