Reason for choice:

She looked exactly like my favourite character Kess. There aren't that many Inuit-looking dolls out there, so I was almost desperate to get her.

Best Points:

Face-sculpt and posability. She has the sweetest smiling face, single joints that bend as far back as regular human joints, so you avoid awkward angles, three piece torso, separate hip joint, jointed toe part.

Worst Points:

She is absolutely flawless.

Name story:

For the character originally, I went with Kestrel as I love the sound of it, the meaning of it, and it's the name of one of my favourite childhood book characters. Ahnah as it's a beautiful inuit name. O'Hara as it's a very typical Irish name that worked well with her given names, and her father's a scotsman of irish descent.

Biography: Kessie's the child of a Scottish antropologist father and a Greenlandic language professor mother. When her father's first wife died, he was struck with grief and needed to get out of Scotland. When he was offered a teaching spot at the University of Greenland, he and his older daughter from his former marriage moved there, which is where he met Kessie's mother. A little after Kess turned seven, the whole family moved to Scotland, which is where they've lived since.

Kessie was born practically on a breach in the universe, and as such her timelines got linked to both earth and Lenice (the other universe which most closely borders earth). That coupled with an extraordinary "magical" potential makes her consciousness jump between different timelines (both earthian and lenician ones) when she's asleep, when the "barrier" between the timelines is at its weakest. Of course, she just believes everything she sees in Lenice is a dream, and the different earthian timelines just makes her experience a massive amount of deja vu. She also has a huge affinity for accessing the Maehne (a magical all-encompassing "network" of the mind where all the information of all that's ever happened in the span of all timelines is stored), but as that can only be accessed from Lenice she doesn't know it yet.

She highly dislikes having anything on her feet, and will walk barefoot for as much of the year as she can. She says she feels more connected to the earth that way.
