Kristen and her twin brother, Tristen, were given similar names because their mother thought it was cute. Both have Gavin as their middle name to honor their grandfather.

Kristen is a bit naive due to her parents overprotective upbringing, but she has a brave heart and a kind nature. Many people who meet the young half blood either want to befriend and protect her, or use and manipulate her. Luckily for her she has earned the trust and protection of Remiel, a full blooded Niborian with the ability to read minds and years of battle training in his upbringing. Traveling at Remi's side has helped Kristen to learn how to better read people, as well as how to fight should she need to.
