Reason for choice:

My friend (MissSBird) had a character named Kaoru, and this doll suited him perfectly. I bought him as a gift for her. She exited the hobby and gave him back to me.

Best Points:

Super cute face, beautiful translucent skin, smelled like vanilla for years, surprisingly easy to pose.

Worst Points:

his posing is a mixed blessing, he's incredible mobile but the joints pop out easily. His head range of motion is small.

Sfter MissSBird left the hobby, I colored his default full set wig (as he was bought full set) brown, and altered the face up a little bit to have freckles and turned him into Toby. Toby was Andrew and Kai's adopted son (brother to Rosie). Still, I wasn't a huge fan of him and was shopping around for a doll for my character Kylin. I decided why not try re-doing Kaoru/Toby again? So, off came his hair and out came the pastels. I altered the faceup more, and gave him eyelashes again. The wig didn't take well to being colored, so I purchased my first chunk of mohair and got to work making a wig. Needs some work, but it's more his style and not bleeding pastel everywhere!
Eventually I wanted a character more involved in the story I'm writing, so I used the idea of combining Toby with Kylin and made Tori. The pink haired version I have presently.
