I ordered her direct from DOD

Reason for choice:

I always liked the aesthetic of DOD dolls and at the time, Bee-A was their most "mature" sculpt, so she fit the character I had in mind. I also prefer the 41cm size.

Best Points:

She is very well-strung and stands pretty well on her own. Her seams are also very nicely sanded, though I don't think DOD provides seam-sanding service anymore.

Worst Points:

Compared to newer dolls, her mobility is pretty limited.

Name story:

Lydia was just the name that popped into my head when I was coming up with the image of her character. Scheherazade comes from the Arabian Nights, because I wanted her to be of Persian descent, and Covellone is a nod to her Italian heritage. Yueh is a name she acquired through marriage to another doll character that belongs to my friend. She became a Draculesti after being "adopted" into the family of Vlad Dracula's daughter Katja and his sister Aleksandra (two non-doll characters in my personal storyline).

Lydia is a quiet but friendly girl who loves to draw pictures and tell stories. She hates being mistaken for a vampire because of her condition--a rare, chronic illness called Heliophobic Hypoferremia Virus (HHV). The virus causes her to be extremely sensitive to sunlight and iron-deficient. Her main source of nutrition is rusted metal--which in liquid form resembles blood.
