Lyra's father, an alchemist, used to tell her stories about an old man who found the formula for an Elixir of Eternal Youth. In her teenage years, he mysteriously disappeared, leaving her in the care of Lark and Robin's House for Wayward Girls. She spent the next four years studying alchemy and developing a curiosity for necromancy. Occasionally she would break into the now-abandoned laboratory where her father used to perform his experiments, searching for some hint as to where he might have gone and dabbling in her own alchemic studies.

On one of her frequent sweeps of the lab, Lyra found a strange formula hidden away in a safe. The formula turned out to be the valuable and heavily coveted Elixir of Eternal Youth. In gathering the materials, Lyra tried out some necromantic spells; she was caught by one of her caretakers and kicked out of the home.

Lyra didn't let this slow her down. She continued to gather her ingredients and, about six years after her father left, successfully brewed the elixir and tried it.

After this, Lyra has never been able to stay in one place too long. Fearing that her secret would be found out and that someone would try to force her to give up her father's formula, Lyra memorized it and then destroyed it. Any time she thought she might be discovered, Lyra would leave and find a new place to live.

Years passed in loneliness and sadness. However, she has recently been approached by a Kirin named Siyu and told that she's the one he's been looking for...
