Provenance:

Purchased the head direct from Kaye. #8 of 11 heads she made. My friend Maryfairy & I bought heads & bodies together that summer. Mary ordered the bodies for us from DT & we put the dolls together in KS in Sept. once the bodies arrived.

Reason for choice:

A Nettle was the first custom doll that I saw at a doll meetup in KS in 2008. I fell in love with her immediately. The ears, the face, the delicate body size just blew me away. I got my ebay account set up after seeing a Nettle posted for sale spring of 2009 & kept a close watch on the auction but did not win. After that Mary & I contacted Kaye & were fortunate that she was willing to sell us a pair of her fine beauties.

Best Points:

The cute face sculpt & her adorable ears.
The collar bones & muscle definition in the sculpt of the arms & the long delicate fingers.

Worst Points:

The eye shape makes it tricky getting eyes set in properly & the S hook can easily knock them out of whack. The old style body has a left leg kick that can be bothersome & of course the "kanckles" or large knobby ankles to house the ball joint.
