Reason for choice:

He's the first SD and boy doll I ever fell in love with, but I never thought I'd actually be able to own him. He showed up at random on Mandarake the day after my birthday, and I bought him in the bathroom at work.

Best Points:

His beautiful tan resin. His nose. His mouth. His droopy eyes. His sugarbowl handle ears. His mechanical arm and leg. The smooth way his joints move when posing. The fact that his mechanical limbs are intricately detailed but have identical range of motion to his human limbs. I can go on.

Worst Points:

Aimerai Sunkissed resin seems to build up a white powder between joints. It's pretty hard to photograph accurately, too. His mechanical limbs will scratch up any other resin within reach, including his own body. No movement at all in his torso joint.

My beautiful, priceless miracle boy. Back in November 2017, when I was first looking at dolls and figuring out what I wanted my collection to be, I really wanted to only own 1/4 gals. But I kept coming back to this guy, over and over, even though he was huge and expensive and I didn't Want big dolls, remember? As time went on and I came around to SDs, I still thought of him fondly, but I wanted him in Aimerai's sunkissed resin, which was rare as all get out. I'd never seen any of him pop up on the secondhand market, either. Then, end of June 2018, I was cruising through Mandarake's new arrivals and recognized one thumbnail instantly. I didn't even know if he was sunkissed resin or not, but he was there and real and barely within my budget, so I bought him immediately and resolved to deal with the resin color later. When I unwrapped him and saw he was sunkissed resin, I was overjoyed.

Name story:

I didn't have a name planned for him at all. I went through a lot trying to find the best one - Nikolai, Kostya, Rikard, Melchior - but eventually he decided that Malik felt right.
