Her head was my first piece of resin. It took a while to get her a proper body. Of all my dolls, Mari has changed the most. She used to be a sweet little county bumpkin who loved pretty dresses, but now she's very modern and more street style.

Name story:

Mari Song. Pronounced like mar-ee. I wanted a Korean name that also sounded Western. She was my first resin (head) and her name can mean "the first".

Her father is Korean and her mother is American, so she was given a name that could be used in either language. Mari has no siblings and considers everyone a part of her family. To her, she has no friends because they're all family. She leads a "gang" of her friend group and calls them the Song Birds.

Mari is very outgoing and a natural born leader. She's the type that can strike up a conversation with anyone. Her dad is a doctor and mom is a lawyer, both whom work a lot, so she has figured out ways to keep herself entertained. Though she misses her parents often.
