    Date of acquisition:
    11/23/16 (arrived)
    Provenance:
    Ordered direct from company
    Reason for choice:
Prior to resinsoul coming out with their little cervitaurs, so many fantasy dolls were limiteds, which doesn't work for me. Suddenly, there were little centaur-style dolls that were within an easy price range for me to shoot for and no risk of missing out on them, plus it was so easy to get custom split colors. I chose the Autumn sculpt in particular because Marigold was going to be a birthday present, I was born in October, and I wanted her to be an autumnal forest spirit, so it seemed perfect. (Plus, she has a very sweet little face!)
    Best Points:
There are some little details to her deer half that I love-- the sort of 'dewclaw' part of the hoof is included just above her ankle joint, the bottoms of the hooves are sculpted to be somewhat realistic instead of being flat... I love the general shape of her, and her face. I like that her rear legs lock at the 'knee' joint to keep them from buckling if I want her standing. She came to me in the custom split ordered, the additional price was beyond reasonable, and she arrived safe in her own carrier bag!
    Worst Points:
Her arms are forever snapping up so that she just about slaps herself in the face, and her front legs are not as solid as her rear legs-- I can't think of any complaints beyond the fairly standard.
  • Eyes:
(default while I deliberate between top contenders for specialty eyes)
    Wig:
(working on her first custom wig)
    Favourite colours:
Purple, red, gold, burnt orange, misty grey, dark brown... and occasional pops of sap green, teal, and deep blue
    Fashion style(s):
Somewhere between fantasy elf and mori girl, most of the time. Sometimes she's all forest spirit, but she also likes just cozy clothes that seem more in touch with the human world.
    Key fashion accessory:
    n/a at present
(She arrived right before Thanksgiving, and the weather hasn't been conducive to blushing her, even if I had had the time, so I'll be editing this portion as I get her customized. I was just so excited to start setting her profile up that I couldn't wait)

Marigold's hair changes color frequently, so she won't be tied down to one wig (though she's getting one custom 'leaf' wig that's special). She lives in the forest, and spends a lot of her time by herself, in her little kitchen or curled up with a book, or going on long walks. Her style is very gentle and innocent, in face and fashion, and she likes soft things and knitwear and lace.
  • Name story:
Marigold was named for my birthmonth flower. It really suited the whole theme and is a nod to the fact that she was a birthday gift as well.
    Character age:
    Ageless
    Character gender:
    Female
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
Marigold is one of a quartet of 'sibling' forest spirits (they are not actually siblings, and do not all think of each other as siblings, but Marigold tends to view them that way, just for simplicity's sake and because she thinks of them like family. Each is responsible for the care of the forest for one quarter of the year, and Marigold's purview is the fall.

She lives in a little 'hobbit hole' home, where she enjoys preserving and pickling, and has a little library that she loves. Her other hobbies are long walks through the woods, and knitting (something she does together with 'big sister' Holly), and she is very content with time spent alone.

She has an elemental affinity for water, helpful when it comes to calling the soft rains to begin. She also has something of an affinity for space and loves stargazing, though that has nothing to do with her forest spirit duties.
