Martin is a youngest son of Sieglind Strand and king Merrick. He was raised as a prince of Earndael. When he was small he showed a signs of magical abilities, and his mother wanted to send him in Draiochtum - all-boy school of magic. But the war destroyed everything. He lost his eldest brother in battle and fled with his older brother and mother from Earndael. His family was accepted by Xavier Matei in his vylczak army, and hey traveled along it untill the war ended. Then his family returned to Earndael, his mother was restored as a queen and he started his lessons in Draiochtum.
