Reason for choice:

I fell in love with her face in the company pics when i just found out about bjds (not knowing her relatively 'cheap' price back then) but as i was 12 years old i never got to buy her then and there. Few years later i had worked a summer job and had my birthday and was browsing around the web for doll news because i was really into pullips and i somehow ended up on the Resinsoul website once again. I now knew where to look and what to look at and realized i could actually finally afford her. I was still smitten with her face in the pics and still am.

Best Points:

Her face, the elf ears, the slender body that is perfect for making oversized clothes look good. I may be an outcast on this one but i like the default hand model.

Worst Points:

She got floppy pretty fast and some of her brows didnt come right off when i took off her company faceup (eventually it did with magic eraser but it took some time)

It took some time before i figured out how i wanted her to be. At first she was boxed up after i got her because i tend to leave a hobby as is and come back to it some time later. But when i got back in the hobby and took her out of the box and started working on her, she did come together piece by piece. I redid her face about 3 or 4 times and blushed her body and removed that again. She has 4 or 5 wigs now (including alpaca and lama wigs) and i do think the latest one suits her best. A white mohair wig similiar to the one she wears in the company pictures that i fell in love with. She does kinda wear what im into atm but i did notice she doesnt look good in everything. I dont have to try to get her to look good in a skimpy bikini or tight short dresses. Her body lends itself for more oversized and layered looks.

Name story:

When i got her i did not know what to call her. She had a company faceup, random wig and random acrylic eyes. She was so default that i could not call her something other than Mei. Once i customized her more she became less default but i was already used to calling her Mei so i changed it to Meirin, it has a nice ring to it and reminds me of a character in one of my favourite animes. (Kuroshitsuji/black butler - Meirin)

She is quiet, calm and a bit of a nerd. I dont usually draw up characters for my dolls but i did get a vibe from her when i took pictures or posed her nicely ect. I tend to pose her playing on a DS (tetris and mario) or reading a book (the girl with the dragon tattoo, harry potter, grimm fairytales)
