    Reason for choice:
    I never expected to fall in love with a Volks sculpt. I actually swore for years I wouldn't! But she had my name, and the instant I saw her in person I had to buy her. Volks has been super accommodating and kind and it's just made having her (and her sisters) all the more special. But Meritites is by far my most spoiled girl!
    Best Points:
    The SD16 body is absolutely lovely in every way. Volks' sculpting team did an amazing job on making her distinctly unlike their more childish sculpts, and despite her broad shoulders, it's probably my favorite body. I wish the hands I have on it were easier to change!
    Worst Points:
    Hands are hard to change (or I'm just not good at it), and it's hard to balance in the straight heel legs. The shoulders are very broad for a girl body, which makes it hard to get non-Volks clothing for it. Overall, though, the body is amazing.
    Oh man I don't know what to put here. For anyone who's unsure about getting the Volks SD16 body, it is SUCH an upgrade from the SD13 and SD10. The SDGrG is very similar and well worth it if the SD16 is too big for you--it's tall!--but I'm completely in love with the body. Meritities is one of the few dolls I have whose default faceup is going to stay until I die, for a number of reasons. But I love her makeup so much! The double layered eyelashes on the Kyoto Megu are perfect, and the original default outfit she came with was absolutely to die for as well, if a little delicate. The feathers could have been omitted and I would have been more comfortable having my girl wear it. The skintone has held up well over the last four years, and Meri is spoiled to death.

    I assume this is where I rant about her fashion choices. Meritities spends a lot of time in her Volks kimono, but she has a few favorite outfits from Dollmore and The Educated Flea too. I make most of her jewelry.

    Meritities is another character I've toyed with a lot who changed drastically from conception to doll. Doll Meritities is from a cursed family with near-eternal youth; she and her sisters are hundreds of years old and travel often to avoid recognition. They're all magically inclined, but Meritities tries to fit in with humans as much as possible (despite her inhuman hair and eyes).

    Meri is a very bubbly woman who likes to take others under her wing. She's usually married or dating (timeline depending) Mimiroppu's Altair, and travels with his band when he tours.
