Reason for choice:

Look at that smile. I thought it would be eerie or annoying that she's constantly smiling but it's actually lovely. It's nice to put new clothes on a doll and have her look like she's happy about it. I'm already using an AoD body for another doll. I was actually hoping she would go on my Impldoll body but it's not a great fit. I want to get my teeth into modding so I thought a Mirodoll body would be a good idea.

Worst Points:

She's slightly out of scale with my smaller SDs. I tried to counter this by filing down her nose a smidge and making her eyes smaller. These mods are still a work in progress which is a bit frustrating. But as awful as her current faceup is, I can see her potential.

Name story:

Originally she was called Libby but when she arrived it just didn't suit her. So she remained nameless for a while until Merlyn sprang to mind. I like the sound of the name and it amuses me that Earth-girl Erika will have an entirely different idea of what someone called "Merlin" should look like.

I had the head in mind for a different character who she turned out to not be suitable for. So she is still evolving into someone new. She's a wandsmith, which is a specific branch of alchemy which deals with imbuing objects with power and allowing magic to flow through them. She is someone the other characters turn to when they need help. She is cheerful and generous, free-spirited and open-minded. She's also mad as a box of frogs.
