Reason for choice:

She fit what I was looking for at that time: versatile sculpt, good posing, within budget (they were having a major sale)

Best Points:

Great range of motion on the body, her face can have very different expressions depending on the angle and the faceup

Worst Points:

Her hands are not as graceful as I'd like; her breasts are a little too large for her frame and lack any real definition or nuance. I plan to attempt some modification to fix both issues in the future.

Many of DreamingDoll's sculpts have a very distinct style which I think is underrated.

I've so far still not found the exact hair and eyes I envisioned for her at the start, so over time she's just sort of grown into the random bits she came with. I got her as a model to sew for, so she wears whatever I make (or occasionally cave and buy).

Name story:

"Millicka" was the name of another player's character in my first tabletop RPG campaign; it seemed to suit her, even though she has nothing in common whatsoever with the character. I finally decided that "Jade" had the elegant-but-adaptable feeling I was looking for, and the two parts together felt more balanced and complete. I usually just refer to her as Jade, though.

Millicka Jade is a fashion and cosplay model who used to live alone with her cat, but it turns out she has an unusual aura which attracts supernatural beings, so now she has a growing number of spirits and fae who have shown up and settled in as roommates [this is how I explain my continued impulse buying of fantasy dolls]. Some of the smaller ones tend to cause messes when their curiosity gets the better of them, but other than that they've all been nice so far, so she doesn't really mind.
