Mr Randall

Head Sculpt:
Impldoll Star
  • Face-up artist(s):
    Date of acquisition:
    October 2015 (head) November 2015 (body)
    Head from Impldoll's Facebook event. Body ordered direct later.
    Reason for choice:
    Free head! I went for the Star body even though the Idol is default because my SDs are around the 60cm range and I didn't want him to dwarf them too much. As it is he is ridiculously buff compared to my other dolls.
    Best Points:
    Head sculpt is nice, love the stern nose. I like his big butt and I cannot lie.
    Worst Points:
    His head is shaped like a lightbulb. I find the Star body a pain to pose. He constantly wants to click his heels together. Lack of swivel joints in his arms meant I broke his elbow. Getting clothes to fit him is a nightmare thanks to his broad shoulders and insanely biceppy arms. His default hands are a bit on the small side though that's less of an issue now I've wired his jointed hands. (I do still love him anyway!)
  • Eyes:
    Various. Awkward eye sockets.
    Favourite colours:
    Black, grey, purple.
    Fashion style(s):
    He's a librarian so smart suits are the order of the day. However he has a weakness for fancier garments.
  • Name story:
    Named after a librarian from Night Vale.
    Character age:
    Character gender:
    Offsite roleplay:
    This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
    Mr Randall is a librarian in a timeless library between worlds. He is stern and logical and this is often mistaken for coldness. In fact he cares deeply about people and about what is right. If he sees an injustice he will step forward to rectify it. Always serious, he finds emotional displays awkward and pointless but he is not unsympathetic. While he is excellent at practical support he struggles with less concrete matters. However when he understands what someone needs from him, he will do his best to provide.

    He finds Erika frustrating because she sees him as an authority figure and tries to, as he sees it, undermine him. She does not take him as seriously as he would like. However annoying her interest in his personal life, he recognises that few are aware he even has a life outside of the library and it's refreshing to be treated as a person rather than a tool for finding books. He has a great respect for Ridley and his dedication to his duty.
