Head Sculpt:
Normal Skin
Fairyland Feeple65
  • Face-up artist(s):
    Hearts Murmur (me)
    Reason for choice:
    I had been waiting for Switch to make a head with the perfect combination of features- an eyeshape I liked, a full mouth, and a nose with better looking nostrils. Sohwa was it!
    Best Points:
    The resin is really lovely, and the sculpting is very polished!
    Murmur was originally a DIM Danbi, my first BJD! My tastes changed and I ended up selling him, but I kept thinking about him. I needed a new sculpt that could convey his expression, which actually is kind of a non-expression. Murmur is meant to look like he has no feelings, but could look a tiny bit annoyed or sad if I wanted him to. I think Sohwa fits the bill perfectly.
  • Eyes:
    Volks metallic acrylic
    Favourite colours:
    Black, grey, dark red
    Fashion style(s):
    Pretty casual, though frilly stuff also suits him
    Key fashion accessory:
    Hime bangs :P
    He doesn't have much limitation on what he can wear. In fact, if it looks like somebody else dressed him, that's pretty in character.
  • Name story:
    It comes from the Ars Goetia, a 17th century grimoire!
    Character age:
    A couple thousand years
    Character gender:
    Offsite roleplay:
    This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
    Murmur's past is mysterious, like most demons. (They may live to be thousands of years old, but they can only remember about the same amount as a regular human.) Some demons have vague memories of him being an unfriendly, maybe even cruel person. But that was long ago, and everyone knows him now as a passive, compliant, and emotionless person. When watching him it's almost like watching someone in a trance.

    At some point he inherited the ability to raise the dead, either permanently or temporarily to ask them questions. This is accomplished with a combination of images, written words, and spoken words. In his more recent history, Murmur discovered some dark secret about a very important demon. He was captured before he could tell anyone, and was essentially cursed with the inability to communicate with speech or text. (Basically, he has a voice but cannot say words, and he can draw pictures but not write text.) He was then thrown in a room where no one would find him, and left to wither away.

    But somebody did find him. An anonymous person opened the door and transported Murmur to a lonely place, far from any civilization save for one abandoned house. Murmur stayed there for a while, still alone. He began to wonder if he could summon the dead with his handicap, and so he tried a simple resurrection. What he ended up with was Paimon, something like an abomination as far as raising the dead goes. Shortly after, other demons began to arrive at the house: some that Murmur knew years ago, some that he had never met before. It's a full house now, and whether Murmur is glad for the company is impossible to know.
