    Reason for choice:
I had just gotten into the hobby and my girlfriend found this doll for sale on a now long-defunct doll forum. At the time, I was just eager to own a doll and he came with so many extras! I barely knew anything about dolls - all I knew was that he was a limited doll with extras.

He was still a beautiful doll, but I was still too new to really be in love with the sculpt.
    Best Points:
He's got a very expressive, versatile face that lends itself well to melancholy, arrogance, or boredom. His features are quite delicate and elegant - something of a signature from Dollmore, I've noticed.

His body is a thing of art and beauty. For all that he's nearly 12 years old, he still manages to pose very well. His sculpting is very well done, and especially his wrists and ankles. There is an air of delicacy and elegance with Dollmore dolls that really isn't commonly seen. These dolls can fall into some amazing poses - literally fall into these poses. Honestly, though they haven't updated the bodies since I've been in the hobby, Dollmore have some of the most beautiful bodies I've seen.

His hands are really quite elegant, and I love the claws he has. They're so much fun to blush!
    Worst Points:
When he first came to me, I thought I was just crap at position eyes. Then I thought it was because his eyes were so narrow that I was having trouble. Only after I wiped his original face-up did I realize his eyes were actually uneven. I had to mod him slightly to get them to even out.

Though I love Dollmore bodies, they require sueding or otherwise I get so frustrated I can feel my blood pressure shoot through the roof. His chest joint and hips are especially bad. The chest joint is very slippery, and doesn't lock into place. His hips have the same problem, sliding in the sockets and twisting his legs around. A little sueding and he's posing like a dream.

  • Name story:
See, I had originally named him Kuyashinaki Haven. Haven because I wanted to give him a gender neutral name, and Kuyashinaki as a nod to the fact that "larme" translated to "tears" and "kuyashinaki" translates to something about tears. I don't remember anymore.

As the character evolved, he gained a new name - Nagano Daisuke. I don't really remember why I gave him that name. It was quite a long time ago. I think "Nagano" had a specific meaning I liked...
    Character age:
Approximately 1400 - give or take. He was a 9-tailed kitsune 500 years ago
    Character gender:
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
Daisuke was a foundling, discovered by priests of Inari. He was taken in, of course. However, even at that young age, he had something of an arrogant streak and a mischievous nature that often crossed the line. Daisuke lacked the power and skill to back that up, and found himself ostracized by the other children. That attitude was reflected by the caregivers, though, which led him to feeling misunderstood and mistreated.

When he attained his second tail, Daisuke left the kitsune to strike out on his own. He also came into his power, then, revealing himself to be one of the fabled Children of Inari - exceptionally powerful kitsune. Rather than use this newfound power for the benefit of his people, or to perhaps see to it that none suffered as he did, Daisuke instead chose to have the power serve his own interests.

He became a bandit of no small renown, eventually recruiting the heir to a prominent Tengu family, Kerasu Kyori. That was not to stand, and the kitsune banded together with the Tengu to eradicate Daisuke and his bandits for good.

500 years later, Daisuke returned, his power broken.
