Reason for choice:

Arasilme is actually a pretty big dude, and I felt that Iplehouse Arvid suited him much better than Volks Yukinojo, whom was his original shell.

Best Points:

Arasilme has a very soft face, that can also be severe at times, and Arvid's face really does that perfectly.

Worst Points:

I really dislike the old knees.

Originally, Arasilme was a Volks Yukinojo and my Iplehouse Arvid was someone else, but while trying to figure out if I wanted to sell him, I dumped a carrot-coloured wig on him and went "holy crap... this works better than the other one does," so, they were both repainted and turned into other people. Arasilme is huge and I needed a doll that was equally huge, and Arvid just worked out better, plus, Arvid has a face that is both serene and kind, but also severe, and that was really what I needed.

Arasilme wears a lot of leathers and cotton. He likes his clothing to be able to move and he likes it to be able to breathe. He also enjoys being particularly intimidating. The outfit that he's currently wearing was loosely based off another artist's design, and I decided to see if I could make something similar. I very much like it and so does he.

Name story:

Honestly, this character's first name was put together from an extensive elvish dictionary in Quenya, when I didn't really know that much about him. Had I known what kind of character he was and what his personality would be, I probably would have named him something else. Arasilme translates to "noble starlight" and Angael translates to "iron star".

Arasilme is a First Born (the first of the elves that were created by Eru and woke on the shores of Cuivienen), or at least, he thinks he is, which is one of the major, if not the major overarching, unsolved mystery of the story.

At the start of the current story, he knows his name "Arasilme Angael" and he knows that he wandered out of the woods toward the elves of Cuivienen covered in blood and wearing armor, and more importantly, clothes that they'd never seen before. He was taken in by Finwe and Mahtan, who thought he was interesting to say the least, and he made the executive decision to follow them to Valinor. He helped raise Finwe's children: Feanor, Fingolfin, and Finarfin, as well as all of their children, and quite honestly became the eternal dad.

He has some severe sleeping problems. He can go for several days to several weeks without sleeping, before his body just shuts down in the form of passing out cold wherever he is and sleeping for one to two weeks at a time. He has "premonitions", in that if something strange is going to happen or something freaky is going to go down, he has a very cryptic dream and then falls out of bed the following morning. He also has flashbacks occasionally.

Arasilme has a lot of children, both biological and adopted. He considers Feanor and his children his own children, with Maedhros being his actual first biological child, due to a poor choice on a drunken night on his part.

He has two more that are biological his: Arvalin and Ellie, none of which have the same mother.

He is a walking war machine. He has the capacity to fight and fight and fight and fight and fight. He has epithets attached to his name like "The Balrog Slayer", "The Dragon Slayer", "Morgoth's Bane", etc. He has the capabilities of using Songs of Power and resisting the use of Songs of Power on him. I would say that he's pretty much invincible, provided he doesn't take Grond to the head. That'll kill him, but otherwise... he's pretty unstoppable, especially after taking Grond to the head and being knocked out of his physical body. He thought that he died, which, in a sense, he sort of did; he had a fevered dream in which he thought that he met Eru, and that Eru turned him into a Vala, when in reality, his metaphysical body was disconnected from his physical body, because he's much more like an Ainu than he thinks he is.
