Reason for choice:

My grail. It was love at first sight. So realistic and evocative of a strong Asian woman.

Realism of the sculpt.

The magnets need to be re-glued fairly often and are too weak.

She was already discontinued by the time I learned about her sculpt. There was a marketplace listing, but I hesitated to buy her because she was sold as a full doll with a body I wasn't sure of. By the time I decided to go for it, she was already gone. In early 2021, I put out a WTB post, and she happened to turn up a week later on a second hand market for just the head. That said, I have purchased and tried so many bodies for this girl. She's cycled through a Fairyland Feeple 65, a Supia Ballerina, and a Dollstown 17year Vision body before ultimately claiming/stealing the Dollshe 16F from my Dollshe Diana.

Her first faceup I commissioned through Pepstars World, and I loved how intense her expression was. It embodied everything I imagined of the sculpt and she instantly became a "Tiger Mom"

I unfortunately damaged her first faceup, and my original artist was not taking commissions at the time that I wanted to get her painted, so I went tried a different faceup artist. Neoma came back quite different from her first version, but I have come to love this softer version of her.

I looked up some options on Nameberry and dipped into a "celestial” vein and ended up spotting the name Neoma and thought it suited her well.

She has joint custody of her daughter Saffron. Neoma has a younger brother she worries about because he is a bit of a lost soul. She views herself as a backstop to the unfair circumstances to those she cares about, but often takes on more burdens than she should.
