Reason for choice:

I'd wanted a gray skin doll forever (full sized anyway) and I really liked the Crow headmold, so I was sold.

Best Points:

I love his face, his resin tone. The magnetic hands are nice.

Worst Points:

Dear glorb Soom, the engineering on this body is the absolute worst. They sculpted the butt cap too far out, so his legs never lock when he's standing. If you try to do it, his knees bend, which gives him no stability at all so he can collapse easily. Then, you take the elbow joint - so there's the middle resin part to give the arm mobility, only the upper portion is basically this huge long plug that can only sit in the position it's positioned in, which gives the arm zero range of mobility and defeats the entire purpose of having it there in the first place (really, they could have just made it a solid part because it's basically all it works as).

Then, then, so instead of an S-hook, they thought it was a good idea to put this weird resin doughnut in, which would be fine and all if resin didn't tend to age badly and become fragile, depending on the cast, and the well in which it sits is this semi-faceplate deal so it slips, a lot (I've lost his elastics in him a few times and have had to restring him multiple times over this). I ended up replacing it with an S-hook because I was worried the doughnut would snap and in doing so, it alleviated some of that slippage, but of all the Soom bodies I've owned/still own, this particular one is the worst. I'd love to sand the butt caps down so he can do more than sit propped up against a surface with his knees bent, but he's gray skin so it'll mess with his resin. For as much as I love the look of his bod, he's def been on my 'need to hop on an MD event' list so I can change out his body for one of their newer, better made ones because dirty pool, Soom, dirty, dirty pool :/

A long time ago myself and some friends made some joke about there being a Nexus con, and it was this thing we planned in jest for years (believe in Nexus). I swore one day I'd name a doll of mine Nexus, only I never had a character to fit it until the Soom Crows came along. Nexus got the name so I could fulfill my 15+ year obsession with something being named Nexus.

Nexus is a Nightmare (a horse, he's basically a horse) and belongs to Evphaedrielle's Bridge World. When he was a foal, he and his family were attacked by an agent of chaos and he was the only one to survive it. The very agent that killed his family led him to believe they were killed by agents of Light, then he isolated him and raised him for a single purpose -to bring Light down. Nexus has no idea yet that his Patron was the one who killed his herd because his memories from that time are too vague and out of focus, so he's spent his life believing what his patron has promised him, that once he manages to fulfill his mission he'll be rewarded with the resurrection of those he loves...

Nexus is stubborn and headstrong, and while he thinks he knows what's going on in the world around him, he really doesn't. He's fair minded despite being associated with Hel, and will do what he thinks is right, even if it turns out to be wrong. He's a skilled fighter and rather enjoys destroying things, and can easily get caught up in doing so if he lets himself go. He can be serious when he needs to and tends to throw out his share of snark, but he usually doesn't mean it maliciously, he just has the mind that he knows what's going on and won't hesitate to say so. He spends most of his time in human form, but will revert to his Nightmare self when he either gets so caught up in whatever he's doing that he forgets himself, or it's needed.
