QTPiWorks got the head and body from the company, owned her for a while, and sold her to me.

Reason for choice:

I saw the listing for her on a sales site and saw her face and immediately heard her name in my head. I knew I had to have her.

Best Points:

Dollzone has such lovely hands that are nice to hold, and her face is just immaculately sculpted. Also to be honest I love the egg-shaped head and the lovingly freckled faceup. <3 Also, her headcap is twist-off rather than fixed with magnets, which means it's much less likely to pop off randomly but is still easy to take off and put on.

Worst Points:

DZ also tends to be kicky, no matter what you do. It makes standing and sitting difficult. When I hold her by the waist, more often than not her legs will buckle and she will automatically be kneeling. As cute as it is, she can't balance that way.

The character Nidria wears white almost exclusively, with cream accents. She wears a white wig made of lightweight fiber, and very simple and lightweight clothing. This is due to living in the desert and being an angelic being. I have no photos posted of this character, only her default look.

The doll Nidria has a "default look" that I keep her in most of the time because I choose not to have her represent the character all the time. This is what she wears most of the time when I photograph her. She wears whatever I find that's cute in her size, usually pastel or lighter colors, mostly fitted and occasionally embellished with lace.

Name story:

Her name comes from the characters I wanted to base my dolls on, who are from a musical called Razia's Shadow. The original character's name comes from the Aramaic word for "Promise, to make a vow".

Nidira is an angel serving under the divine being O the Scientist. She and her lover, Ahrima, are the most talented angels in all of his creation. Along with the other angels, they create living beings and plant the flame of life inside them (the living beings are then called "lamps" because of the light inside them). When Ahrima gets upset, Nidria's soothing voice and soft nature calm him, and she is the water to his fire. When Ahrima is manipulated by an evil being into destroying all of the lamps, the angels are forced to find a new land to start over in, and Ahrima is sentenced to stay in the burned wreckage, meaning he and Nidria will have to be separated. Nidria seeks out an Oracle older than time, who tells her that they will be reincarnated, and their new forms will reunite the two lands of Light and Dark. Nidria tells him this through a crack in the great wall that separates them, and promises they will find each other again in a different life before moving on forever.
