Provenance:

Body purchased secondhand at a local meet, head purchased secondhand from the Marketplace. I am the second owner of the head and the body.

Reason for choice:

Initially it was because of the price, to be honest. When faced with a $50 doll body in person, who's going to turn that down?

Best Points:

I'm a big fan of the detailed hands and muscular chest, and the narrow eyes and smirk present on his lips is just so Nova.

Worst Points:

This is my first hybrid, and it shows. His head is a little too big for the bodym leading to a bit of a bobblehead look. His hands also don't like to stay where I pose them.

Honestly, I'm still surprised Nova even happened. His body was an impulse buy being sold cheap from a friend, and of course when I had it I needed a head to go with. Can you believe his resin only cost me $80 USD? Everything he's got going for him right now is either handmade or secondhand, and he looks great all the same! Cheap dolls are definitely possible.

Nova has a different look for each era he lives through, but it's always the same general theme: something black and loose over something gray and tight, with crosses somewhere in the pattern. Right now, he's sporting skinny jeans. He loves skinny jeans.

Nova is actually my friend Ty's character. We've been co-writing his story since 2010. The name was probably chosen because it sounds cool.

When faced with the destruction of existence itself in the hands of a senseless rebellion, the Sanctuary's only hope lies in the rising of a new Pantheon, to maintain order, safety, and life. This Pantheon is made up of six young souls, who must pass through a trial mortal life to prove their worthiness to rule. Nothing ever goes right for them, however, and the more often they fail, the less time they have.

Nova is a brash and impatient soul who acts without considering the consequences. He wants to change what's wrong in the world, but the way he goes about it usually lands him in hot water one way or another. Still, though, his heart is in the right place, and his actions are by no means selfish, just hasty and poorly thought out.
