Reason for choice:

Most of my dolls were still in California after our move to Washington and I was really wanting a dollie project. I got her second hand on DOA for an amazing price, and honestly that was the biggest draw. I love elves, and gray skin, so that helped as well. And her character, the Greek goddess of the night, seemed to be letting me know it was there right from the beginning. Every last detail on her is custom, eyes were custom, wig was custom, horns are Soom Cuprit horns painted to look like the night sky full of stars by Illness Illusion, and outfit is custom by Silje's Boutique.

Best Points:

These dolls customize wonderfully, the difference between the base doll and the finished doll is astonishing. She also stands on her own pretty well, even with the heavy Soom horns and heavy custom wig.

Worst Points:

They are a bit of an odd size, small in my 60cm range. The bodies are kind of blandly simple.

This girl was such a good deal I couldn't pass her up. I was a bit unsure if I would like her in the end. Everything on her is custom, eyes, wig, outfit, of course her wonderful face up, body blushing, and tattooing by Illness Illusion. Her horns are Soom Cuprit horns blushed to look like the night sky full of stars. I was so impressed by the way she came out I have been really wanting to pick up a few more Resinsoul girls and see what else I can come up with. Her character of Nyxx the Greek goddess of the night sky came to me nearly right away after deciding to get her. Never have I regretted that somewhat impulse decision.

I commissioned her eyes on either Etsy or Facebook, and sadly connot remember who I got them from.

Wig:

Was a custom from a fairly popular asian wig company that a lot of people did not know would do customs if you asked, but I can not remember their name, either. They do not seem to be around anymore, as I have tried to find them.

I had an idea what I wanted to do with her and googled Nyxx Greek goddess of the night and found several lovely fantasy takes on the character. I picked a few I liked and then picked the qualities I liked and sent those pics to Silje's Boutique for the outfit. Her face up was based on the henna tattoos that are often seen in Indian culture, and a picture I had seen once of a very fancy Indian wedding. I think there was some stying after the lead character in the movie "Kama Sutra-A Tale of Love", played by Indira Varma. And she is a bit of a mash up between Hindu and Greek stylings, plus some kind of gothic/boho look as well.

I have only a very loose story around my dolls, and I really don't know how she fits in. She is so outside of it, that I think she would be something happened upon more than an actual fixture among the other dolls. She is sort of her own stand alone, I guess, and I really don't have a lot of backstory on her beyond what is written about her in Greek mythology.
