Reason for choice:

My very first doll, mostly an impulse buy. BlueFairy was the first company I fell in love with while browsing Flickr with my cousin, so I took the plunge and bought her!

Best Points:

Beautiful quality (yellowing is totally unnoticeable even after years!), adorable face sculpt that's really true to the company photos. So worth the money.

Worst Points:

Single joints limit poseability, and she has the old BlueFairy head cap system (no magnets; her neck hole was round and too small for the S hook to fit through, and the S hook attaches to a loop in the top of the head cap, so it's really hard to take her head off)

Ophelia was born to her single mother, Monique, and grew up in the suburbs with her. As a child, she was afraid to leave her home. Her mother struggled with depression herself, and chose not to push her to go outside, instead home-schooling her and allowing her to spend her free time reading books. Ophelia's little brother, Toby, ended up doing the same, and together they shared a secret pasttime - traveling to the fantastical world their father, Sol, was from. In that world, Terra Vera, they were the children of a god. Little did they know that after their mother passed away, they would have to choose which world they would live in permanently, and who would be the true heir to the land of the sky...
