1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    October 2015
    Provenance:
The head was purchased in a split from the DoA marketplace; the body was purchased through Fabric, Friends and Dolls.
    Reason for choice:
I always wanted to do this combination artistically.
    Best Points:
The antlers provide a great canvas for creativity...and because DC and DZ are sister companies with the same resin formulas, there was no fear of the body and head not matching.
    Worst Points:
Those arms are delicate and one arrived broken...it took two trys and endless wait times to get it completely resolved.
This is something I've wanted to do for years...combine the DC Alberta head with the DZ vine arms to create a unique floral character. I had to wait for a split in order to do it, and then ordered a Renata at exactly the same time to complete her (to make sure the resins were from a similar batch.) It was quite complicated but I love the result...it was so worth it!

Paisley Bloom sprouted up on Carnaby Street in London in the swinging '60s. So she was very influenced by the Mod fashion scene of that era. She dresses in simple empire waisted maxi, midi or mini dresses in bright mod colors with applied flowers. She wears her hair in colorful dreads with flowers added as well. She is a walking illustration of the flower child aesthetic.
  • Name story:
When I first saw The Alberta's antlers, they reminded me of big paisley flower petals. That's what gave me the initial idea to go flora instead of fauna, and the name Paisley Bloom seamed ideal for both her style and the era (because it sounds very British rock-and-roll to me.)

    19

This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
Paisley Bloom was one of those floral die-hards that occasionally sprout up in the cracks of a sidewalk, street, or building foundation...and no one ever knows exactly how they got there, but their tenacity is impressive. She grew up the side of a wall in the Mod fashion mecca of Carnaby Street in London, in the mid 1960s. Everyone marvelled at her bright colors and beauty...and she marvelled at all the young, swinging shoppers for exactly the same reasons, all the time wishing she was one of them. Eventually she was recognized as a rare antique from as far back as 1892. Hearing the story, a plant collector from the Botanical society planned to dig her up and move her to the countryside. But intrepid Paisley Bloom would have none of it! She was determined to remain among the fun and trendy shop-goers on Carnaby Street. So on a magical, moonlit night right before she was scheduled to be transplanted, she took all the love and admiration shoppers had lavished on her, willed herself to become sentient and literally walked away from the wall to join them.
