Penelope is a gentle lady, brought up as a princess in her royal family. Unfortunately, a curse was cast upon her on the day she was set to be married. She was turned from a human into an ugly creature, and her magic-hating kingdom drove her out. The magical blast had more affect on her than just her appearance. It allows her to speak with the plants and animals of the forest, the forest in which she is cursed to wander for eternity.
