I choose her name in honor of Philippa Eilhart - the sorceress from A. Sapkowski saga about The Witcher.

She was born with a club foot (talipes). This defect would not allow her to walk normally, and her chances to get married was very poor. That was a big deal in the medieval Ceros (the world my characters live in). Her parents decided to give her away to Scol Ilainae, to make her future better. Scol Ilainae was the school of magic for the girls. Philippa has the Talent and became a sorceress. Her body and features was corrected, she became healthy and beautiful as all sorceresses should be.
Apparently she got married to the lord of Earmstokk, and gave birth to the only child - her son Renard, who later became the lord, and then the King of Earmstokk.
Her family life was rather bad - she never loved her husband, actually she is a lesbian, but married him because more than anything she love the power. She loves to control everything, and she was the one of the Lord Council to fight against the Empire to get Earmstokk and other 12 kingdoms independence.
She was in the center of the war. And her move with the undead army, that surrounded the Capital city and destroyed the walls was decisive in the last great battle between the resistance and the Empire.
She is one of the most powerful sorceresses in all 13 kingdoms. Her official specialization was Illusions and transmutation, but the most skillful she was in necromancy, that she learned in secret.
She lived with Gudlaug Lahti for the rest of her life. Even after many years together, she could not tell if she really loved her (or anyone, except herself), but there was some feelings for sure.
