He isn't quite finished yet. I need to figure out what to do about his body. I may try and restring/suede him to see if it'll help him pose better.
- Face-up artist(s):
- Date of acquisition:
- 7 June 2016
- Batchix Dolls
- Reason for choice:
- His lovely face / looks like my character
- Best Points:
- Gorgeous face and lots of personality to his expression. Small and cute/easy to handle
- Worst Points:
- I'm not happy with this body. It looks nice but poses badly.
Can't sit forward at all. Face plate comes off fairly easily if bumped. Body is more muscular than I'd like for this character (but I don't know of a better option).
I'd really like to find a slimmer body that does things like slouches and sits up well. He's supposed to look young and active/flexible.
He still needs a proper wig. The one he has is too poofy at the bottom. I may try making him an alpaca wig.
He has his eyes and a decent faceup, for now. I'm not too pleased with the job I did, bit I'm not going to redo it just yet.
I love the facial features, but there are so many frustrations with this doll. I have yet to see how/if I can make this work.
* I'd love to see Batchix make this head for 60-70cm dolls, and a head-back system instead of face-plate version. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
- Head Sculpt:
- 50-something cm
