Reason for choice:

As Arvalin evolves from one story to the next, she becomes a very voluptuous young woman, and Heliot the right face for a very strong noblewoman.

Worst Points:

It's been a pain in the butt trying to find her the right body. First she was on the Breccia body, which I did like, but I hated the way that it moved, then she was briefly on an Iplehouse SID body, which I hated MORE than the Breccia body, and finally, she moved back to the Breccia body, and I simply got off my butt and modded the joints so she wasn't as floppy. Moral of this story, I just need to get off my butt and mod things.

Arvalin wears a lot of beautiful and complicated dresses. She likes to be in-style, and as Gondolin and Lindon are the heavy hitters of the fashion industry, she does her best to keep up with them.

Name story:

"Arvalin" means "outside Valinor" and I chose to name them that, because at the time of the name choosing, I didn't know anything about how elvish or elvish naming worked and I just thought it was pretty. "Aravalin", which is the name that they go by later on in Chronicles of Tirion and in Iron and Symphonies, means "noble happiness", but now I know how elvish and elvish naming in general works.

Arvalin has had a thousand remakes and do-overs in the probably about twenty or so years that she's been living in my headspace. She was a boy for most of it, and then, very much like Morgan, decided that she wanted to be a girl. Chronicles of Tirion was and still is on hiatus, and a new friend and I were starting a new story and I introduced her to Arvalin, and she loved her. So, Arvalin exists in two different storylines and are two different people. This version of Arvalin is from Iron and Symphonies, and happens to be my favorite version of her, because she's a very well-respected Queen of her people.

Arvalin is the second daughter of Arasilme and Mairon. She has one older and two younger siblings: Anarore (Rori) who is older, Airerinde (Rinde) and Elentarion (Ellie) who are younger, Ellie being the youngest of them all.

When she is young, she and her siblings stay in Gondolin, while the War for the Silmarils is being waged against Melkor, in order to protect them and their mother from him. However, once Melkor surrenders and is taken prisoner by the Valar, her and her siblings move back to Angband. However, while she is in Gondolin, she meets Maeglin who is much older than she is, and declares herself his mate.

He gently tells her to "get lost kid", though she returns to claim him once she is an adult.

While Arasilme is away fighting another battle in another world, Mairon is killed and Arvalin becomes Queen of Angband, and subsequently, their new home, Nurn (Mordor).

She has three children with Maeglin: Angaruyna (Runya), Aredhelion and Artanaro.
