Ragnar was totally pinched while watching an episode of Vikings, I just loved the sound of it! His surname denotes him as a son of Odin - something which he stubbornly denies.

Story universe: A Clash of Worlds

Ragnar is a feared and incredibly skilled warrior - he is one of the Úlfhéðnar, an elite force of berserkers who wore wolf pelts into battle and fought in such a trance-like fury that they couldn't tell friend from foe. He's the bastard eldest son of a well-respected seamstress and Odin and has eight younger half-siblings, all of which are excellent warriors in their own right. He's a father of three (four) and devoted husband.

Ragnar is a very stubborn, headstrong person, and is very reluctant to accept change. His family is his life, and he would happily die defending them and his home. He's not particularly fond of his youngest brother Eirik, and has tried to kill him. He also has an incredible soft spot for Azrael's niece Estella as she reminds him of his daughter. She's the first person he opens up to once brought out of stasis. Not that she could understand a word he said of course.
