Reason for choice:

I had never seen a BJD zebrataur before, and loved their first limited appearance on the Luts site. Sadly they sold out right away, so I was thrilled to get my hands on this little one! I was also glad that she came without eyes or a faceup, so I had no preconceived notion of how she should look.

Best Points:

Aside from overwhelming cuteness, she defies physics. Really. The majority of her body weight is in front of the back legs (obviously), but she can rear up like a horse with her front legs off of the ground...and she still stands on those tiny back hooves. I don't quite get it, but I love it! Also, the later release had etched lines demarcating the stripes, which the the first one did not - so these are painted by eye and then heavily coated with urethane to protect them. It just feels less like an assembly line stamped doll that way, and I prefer it.
